I am a professional archaeologist who had a photography business and an art gallery after retirement. I have not been actively selling my art photos for the past few years after returning to work as a professional archaeologist.

It has been very difficult since my retirement on April 1. I had had a respiratory problem since early January, and couldn't seem to be able to shake it. I finally saw a specialist and he had a CT scan done. The CT can revealed a spot on my lung that the doctor thought might be cancer, as well as asbestosis in both lungs. I worked in a shipyard for a few months in 1964 during a break in college as  an electrician's helper on Polaris submarines before they were launched. I was exposed to asbestos then, and it finally caught up with me. It took six weeks to resolve this and find out I did not have cancer, and during that time I got nothing else

Retirement

I am retiring on April 1 after 51 years as a professional archaeologist. I hope to heal up from several problems and have time from photography and writing. I am currently working on two books to add to my 60+ publications, and should have one done by June. As my back heals I hope to get more flower, butterfly, and landscape photos.
